Tiqets is an online ticket seller for museums, landmarks and attractions. It was founded in 2014 and is operated by Tiqets International B.V. in Amsterdam (Dutch Chamber of Commerce no. 59620285). For US residents, payment is collected by its group company Travelscape, LLC on behalf of Tiqets.

The catalog covers museums, historical and archaeological sites, theme parks, cruises and boat tours, city tours, attraction passes, and shows and theatres. Tiqets states it has sold more than 70 million tickets, works with thousands of venue partners and that its app has been downloaded over 5 million times. The site is available in 17 languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Chinese.

Who Tiqets is for

• City-break travelers who want to book popular museums and sights on their phone instead of queuing at the ticket office.
• Planners visiting Barcelona, Rome, Paris, London, Amsterdam, Milan, Florence, Venice, Lisbon, New York, Las Vegas or San Francisco, where coverage is strongest.

Some venues add their own rules, such as arriving at a set time, a dress code or bringing a valid ID; Tiqets lists the important ones on the product page. Commercial reselling of tickets is not allowed.

Prices depend on the ticket type, date and time slot, so check the product page for the final amount. No promo code is advertised. The terms say that if a ticket is wrongly sold with a small discount, you can hold Tiqets to that price, unless the mistake was obvious.

Many popular sights offer timed or skip-the-line entry, each product page spells out cancellation and rescheduling rules, and support runs 24 hours a day in several languages. If a supplier cannot deliver your tickets within 48 hours, you are refunded in full.

Cancellations, changes and refunds

• Per product. EU withdrawal rights don't apply to date-specific leisure tickets. You can cancel or change a ticket only if the product page or delivery email says so.
• Typical flexible ticket. Many listings allow free cancellation with a full refund, and rescheduling, until 24 hours before the visit date. Others, such as some shows and museums, are non-refundable and can't be rescheduled.
• Refund window. Refunds can be requested until 28 days after the date the tickets are valid for.
• Delivery problems. If the supplier cannot issue your tickets right away, it has 48 hours to deliver them through Tiqets; otherwise the order is refunded in full.
