9Proxy review: residential proxies by the IP or by the GB
9Proxy sells residential proxies two ways: per IP, where each activated IP has unlimited bandwidth and unused IPs never expire, or per GB, with traffic valid for 180 days. It suits people who need stable residential IPs for account work, price checks or SEO monitoring, and scrapers who prefer paying for traffic.
Use it in line with the law and the terms of the sites and platforms you work with.

How to get started
- Open 9Proxy through the link on this page and click Sign Up.
- Create an account with your email address.
- Choose IP-based, GB-based or a bundle package; 100 IPs ($24) or 5 GB ($15) are the smallest.

- For IP-based proxies, install the 9Proxy app (Windows, macOS or Linux) and forward an IP to a local port; for GB-based proxies, generate credentials in the dashboard.
What you get with 9Proxy
9Proxy is the trading name of ConnectWise Limited, a Hong Kong company. The provider says its pool has 20M+ residential IPs in 90+ countries, with targeting by country, state, city, ISP and ZIP code. Two products share that pool:
- IP-based residential proxies: you buy IP credits and spend one each time you activate an IP. An activated IP has unlimited bandwidth and stays online from a few hours up to 24 hours. Unused credits never expire, and forwarded IPs can be reused free within 24 hours from the app's Today List. These work through the 9Proxy desktop app, which forwards IPs to local ports and offers auto-refresh, auto-rotation and port settings.
- GB-based residential proxies: pay for traffic, use rotating or sticky sessions, and connect with username/password or IP whitelist from the dashboard, no app needed.
Both support HTTP and SOCKS5. There are docs, an API, and setup guides for Android and iOS (the app itself is desktop-only). The IPs are shared residential IPs; 9Proxy recommends up to 3 threads per proxy for best speed.

Who 9Proxy is for
- Multi-account and social media work: per-IP billing with unlimited bandwidth suits tasks that keep one residential IP for hours.
- Price aggregation and market research: ZIP and ISP targeting shows local prices and offers.
- SEO and SERP tracking: check rankings from specific cities.
- Data scraping: GB-based plans rotate IPs without the app.

Why choose 9Proxy
Per-IP billing is the difference. With most residential services every gigabyte costs money, so heavy pages or long sessions get expensive. With 9Proxy's IP plans you pay once per activated IP and use as much bandwidth as you need while it is online, and credits you don't use stay on the account. The desktop app turns IPs into local ports with auto-refresh and rotation, handy for antidetect browsers and multi-account setups. If you prefer classic rotating proxies, the GB plans work from the dashboard.
Good to know: refunds, payments and limits
- No refunds. All purchases and wallet deposits are final. Instead, a proxy reported as dead within 60 seconds of first use is replaced automatically if the system confirms it is inactive.
- Wallet money stays in 9Proxy: deposits cannot be withdrawn, but they don't expire while the account is in good standing.
- Payments: credit card, Google Pay, local payments and crypto (with a 5% crypto bonus); PayPal is not accepted.
- Verification: 9Proxy may ask any user for identity verification through Didit (ID plus selfie); it is required for some advanced tiers and reseller accounts.
- App required for IP plans (Windows, macOS, Linux).
- Use: legitimate tasks only, in line with the target sites' terms.
