Which ad network should a small website pick?

There is no single best ad network for every small site. The right one depends on how much traffic you have, where it comes from, and how much ad intrusion your readers will tolerate. A short version:

  • Mondiad if you want to start right away with classic or in-page push ads and get paid from small amounts. Publisher withdrawals start at $10 on PayPal, Paxum, Capitalist and several cryptocurrencies.
  • AdOperator if you want popunder and push monetization with one tag. Its publisher page lists payouts from $30, processed on request every day without hold.
  • EvaDav if you want push, in-page push, popunder and native ads from one panel with no traffic minimum. Payouts start at $100 ($1,000 by wire) and go out every Tuesday.
  • CPAGrip if your site gives away something people want, such as a file, a tool or a video, and you are willing to put it behind an offer. You earn per completed offer, with a $50 minimum and Net-30 payments by default.
  • Perform[cb] if you have a fully working site with a privacy policy and want CPA offers (leads, sales, installs) instead of display ads. Payments start at $50, about 30 days after month end.
  • AdSpyglass once you already run two or more networks and want them to compete for every impression. It is a mediation layer, not a network, and takes a flat 10% after the free period.

Ad network types: display, push, popunder, CPA and mediation

Several different products get called "ad networks":

  • Display and native networks place banners or native ads in your layout and pay per thousand impressions (CPM).
  • Push and in-page push networks show notification-style ads. Classic push needs a browser-notification subscription; in-page push sits inside your page and needs none.
  • Popunder networks open an advertiser page in a window behind the visitor's browser. They fill almost any traffic but are the most intrusive format.
  • CPA networks and content lockers pay when a visitor completes an action: a sign-up, a purchase, an install, or an offer that unlocks your content.
  • Mediation platforms decide, impression by impression, which of your networks serves the ad.

How to choose: what we compared

Facts come from each company's publisher pages, terms and our reviews, read in October 2026. We quote no eCPM figures: rates depend on your country mix, niche and traffic quality.

  • Minimum payout and methods. On a small site a $10 threshold pays out in weeks; a $100 threshold can take months. Check that your method (PayPal, Payoneer, crypto, wire) has no higher minimum.
  • Payment timing and holds. On-request payouts, Net-30, or "30 days after month end" mean very different cash flow. Watch for first-payout delays and clawback windows.
  • Approval rules. Some networks review every domain by hand, some require a privacy policy or forbid free hosting, and premium partners require a traffic minimum.
  • Formats and user experience. Popunders and lockers earn from almost any visitor but annoy readers; banners and native ads are gentler but need volume.
  • Traffic rules. Incentivized clicks and self-clicks are widely forbidden and can forfeit your earnings.

Mondiad: classic and in-page push with $10 payouts

Mondiad is a self-serve network launched in 2019 by the team behind the PopCash popunder network. Its publishers page offers classic push and in-page push; its publisher FAQ also lists native, banner, dynamic and interstitial formats, so check which ones your account offers.

The minimum withdrawal is $10 on PayPal, Paxum, Capitalist and several cryptocurrencies, $50 on Payoneer, USDT (TRC20) and USDC (ERC20), $150 on Ethereum, Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash, and $1,000 by wire. Withdrawals are on request and usually processed in 24–48 hours.

Pick Mondiad if you have a content site of any size and want low-friction formats with a very low payout floor. The downsides: the terms make new publishers wait at least 14 days after their first campaign for the first payout, and every domain is reviewed by hand. Popunders are not sold on Mondiad itself; they stay on PopCash. Full details in our Mondiad review.

AdOperator: popunder and push with one SmartTag

AdOperator (Adoperator Media Ltd., Limassol, Cyprus) is mostly known as a traffic source for advertisers, the side our AdOperator review covers. Its network runs three formats: popunder, push and in-page push.

AdOperator home page: an advertising network for popunder, push and in-page push traffic
AdOperator home page, October 2026

For publishers, the AdOperator publishers page offers two tools. SmartTag is one script that, in AdOperator's words, automatically selects the best ad formats for your website. Smartlink is a direct link for people without a website or for monetizing specific filtered traffic. Payments start from $30 and are processed on request every day without hold. Payment methods are not named, so confirm yours with support.

Pick AdOperator if your audience tolerates popunders (download, streaming, tools, utility pages) and you want frequent payouts with one tag. The downsides: no published site rules or rate model, so you learn your earnings only by testing, and popunders cost reader goodwill.

EvaDav: four formats and no traffic minimum

EvaDav, operated by Cassandera Capital LTD in Cyprus, monetizes sites with push notifications, in-page push, popunders and native widgets. Its publisher FAQ sets no minimum traffic and accepts every GEO; each site is checked, must be legal and must use HTTPS, and a Direct Link covers traffic without a website. You can cap push ads at 4 to 16 a day and exclude ad categories.

Payouts go out every Tuesday from $100 ($1,000 by wire) via PayPal, Paxum, Skrill, WebMoney, Payoneer or wire, with no EvaDav fee.

Pick EvaDav if you want several formats from one panel and expect to clear $100 regularly. The downsides: the threshold is ten times Mondiad's, its pages disagree on revshare versus CPA, and under the CPA terms a day is unpaid when unsubscriptions exceed 60% of new subscribers. See our EvaDav review.

CPAGrip: content lockers and offer walls

CPAGrip, operating since 2013, is not a display network. It pays you when visitors complete CPA offers, from an inventory of more than 2,000 geo-targeted incentive offers according to its site. Tools include content, URL, file and video lockers, offer walls and virtual currency.

CPAGrip monetization tools: content locker, URL and file locker, video locker, offer walls and virtual currency
CPAGrip monetization tools page, October 2026

Payments are in US dollars on Net-30 by default; publishers earning consistently with high-quality traffic can ask for Net-15 or Net-7. No payments are issued under $50, and methods are PayPal, Payoneer and wire.

Pick CPAGrip if you run a download, tool, game or video site where visitors will complete an offer to unlock something. The downsides: approval can be refused for any reason, payments can be held as pending during fraud reviews and the public site lists no company address. Read our CPAGrip review.

Perform[cb]: CPA offers for established sites

Perform[cb], LLC (Sarasota, Florida) is an outcome-based network: brands pay for leads (CPL), sales (CPS/CPA), installs (CPI), engagement (CPE) and qualified calls.

The partner terms set a $50 payment threshold, with payment about 30 days after the end of each month. Bounties can be reversed for up to 60 days after the month they were earned. Payment methods are not published.

Pick Perform[cb] if you have a niche audience with buying intent (finance, insurance, apps, services) and would rather recommend offers than show banners. The downsides: manual approval, a fully working site with a privacy policy (not on free hosting), no incentivized clicks and no spawning or exit pop-ups. Brand-new blogs are unlikely to pass. More in our Perform[cb] review.

AdSpyglass: when you already run several networks

AdSpyglass, operated by Zumaleto OU in Estonia, is an ad rotation and mediation platform. You connect networks you already use (50+ integrations), and it picks the best-paying ad for each impression across popunders, banners, native, VAST video, in-page push and interstitials. Your networks keep paying you directly.

AdSpyglass pricing plans: Revshare 10% of hits, Post Paid 10% of monthly profit, and Enterprise
AdSpyglass pricing page, October 2026

According to the AdSpyglass prices page, the default Revshare plan takes 10% of random traffic hits, Post Paid takes 10% of monthly profit for trusted clients, and Enterprise is custom. The standard terms describe a 7-day free period; signing up through our pages gives one free month.

Pick AdSpyglass if you already run two or more networks and enough traffic for rotation to matter. The downsides: with one network or little traffic there is little to optimize, 10% goes to AdSpyglass after the free period, and card payments are non-refundable. See our AdSpyglass review.

Premium display partners: when to aim higher

Premium display partners set entry bars; facts come from their own pages.

Program Entry bar (October 2026)
Google AdSense Age 18+, original high-quality content, access to your site's HTML; no stated traffic minimum. Paid at a $100 threshold, issued between the 21st and 26th of the month.
Journey by Mediavine 1,000 sessions from the US, Canada, UK and Australia within 30 days
Mediavine $5,000 in annual ad revenue
Raptive 25,000 monthly pageviews, plus other eligibility requirements

A common path is AdSense or push ads on a new site, then a premium partner once traffic qualifies. Popunders and lockers can clash with their quality rules, so read their policies before stacking formats.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best ad network for a small website?

For a new or small site, pick a network with no traffic minimum and a low payout floor. Mondiad pays out from $10 and AdOperator from $30. Google AdSense has no stated traffic minimum but pays at $100.

Which popunder ad network should I use?

AdOperator offers popunder, push and in-page push through a single SmartTag, with payouts from $30 processed daily on request. EvaDav sells popunders next to push, in-page and native ads, with weekly payouts from $100. Mondiad does not sell popunders itself; its founders run them on PopCash. If you end up with several popunder networks, AdSpyglass can rotate them.

Do ad networks accept sites with low traffic?

Push, popunder and CPA networks generally have no published traffic minimum, though Mondiad and Perform[cb] review each site by hand. Premium partners do: Raptive asks for 25,000 monthly pageviews and Mediavine for $5,000 in annual ad revenue.

Which ad network has the lowest minimum payout?

Of the networks here, Mondiad has the lowest: $10 on PayPal, Paxum, Capitalist and several cryptocurrencies. AdOperator starts at $30, CPAGrip and Perform[cb] at $50, and EvaDav at $100.

Can I use several ad networks on one site?

Usually yes, as long as each network's terms allow it and your page does not become overloaded. A mediation platform such as AdSpyglass lets the networks you connect compete for each impression.
