What is AdOperator?

AdOperator describes itself as an advertising network for high-quality traffic. It works on both sides of the market:

  • Advertisers buy traffic and run campaigns from a self-serve dashboard with a personal manager.
  • Publishers monetize websites with SmartTag, which picks ad formats automatically, or monetize direct links and filtered traffic with Smartlink. There is also an API.

The company behind the site is Adoperator Media Ltd., Omirou 10, Limassol 3095, Cyprus, and the site footer dates the service from 2018. The terms add that the contracting entity depends on the payment method: Hong Kong for PayPal, bank transfer and Paxum, Cyprus for Visa or Mastercard, and Seychelles for Capitalist.

Ad formats and targeting

Three formats are available, and campaigns can run across all of them:

  • Popunder – a full-size window that opens under the active browser window, on desktop, mobile and tablet. AdOperator positions it as cheaper than other formats.
  • Push – notification-style ads.
  • In-page push – push-style banners shown inside the page.

Targeting options listed on the advertiser page: country, city, browser, OS, device, carrier, IP range and time, plus white and black lists by subid. AdOperator says its traffic comes from more than 200 countries and calls it 100% human traffic; these are the company's own claims. Top verticals it names are iGaming, dating, finance, web utilities, mobile apps and eCommerce.

Pricing and payments

Item What AdOperator states
Pricing model CPC or CPM, depending on the format
Minimum deposit $100
Deposit processing usually 1 to 20 minutes
Budget control daily and total budgets with no overspend
Currency US dollars
Funding methods card, cryptocurrencies, PayPal, bank transfer, Paxum, Alipay, Capitalist

You set your own bid and budget; there is no fixed rate card. The advertiser page shows sample popunder CPMs by country, which range from a few cents to a few dollars per thousand impressions, so actual cost depends heavily on the geo and format you buy. The account is prepaid: you add funds first and campaigns spend from the balance.

Refunds and ad rules

  • Only unused funds are refundable, and only in listed cases: your ads were not approved, an approved campaign could not complete because of lack of traffic or technical problems, a business transfer of AdOperator, or you no longer need the service.
  • Time limits: refunds can be requested within 60 days of payment, and only for funds credited within the past 24 months.
  • Process: a written request to support from your account, with reasons. Money goes back to the same payment method and account.
  • No refund if you broke the Terms of Service.
  • Prohibited ads include tech-support and browser-locking ads, malware and phishing, misleading ads, sexually explicit content, illegal activity, graphic violence, drugs and pharmaceuticals, and weapons. Ads must not target people under 18.
  • AdOperator may accept or reject any account registration.

AdOperator referral program

Any registered user can join AdOperator's referral program and get a personal link or banner to share with people who want to buy traffic. The terms:

  • 7% of the revenue generated by referred advertisers, for the lifetime of the account.
  • Minimum payout $50, higher for some payment methods.
  • Payments are NET60.
  • Not allowed: email promotion, spam (removal from the program and loss of accrued earnings), and buying search-engine traffic such as Google Ads without prior approval.

Earnings are tracked in the partner dashboard. The commission is paid to the referrer by AdOperator; it does not change the price an advertiser pays.
