What is Textero?

Textero (textero.io) is a web-based AI writing assistant aimed at students, from first-year undergraduates to PhD candidates, and at non-native English speakers. The footer reads "Textero by AHelp"; the terms name the operator as A-HELP LIMITED, registered in Limassol, Cyprus, with Cyprus law governing the service.

The core tool is an essay generator: you give a topic and essay type (argumentative, analytical, expository, narrative, research-based and others) and can upload your own sources or your professor's guidelines and rubric. Other listed features:

• a citation assistant for MLA, APA, Chicago and other styles, plus separate citation and Harvard citation generators;
• an AI detector, a plagiarism checker and an "AI Fixer" for flagged passages;
• a paraphraser, summarizers, outline and thesis generators, proofreader, essay grader and reference finder;
• support for more than 10 languages, including English, French, Spanish and German;
• export to Google Docs and browser extensions for Chrome and Edge.

Who it's for, and the academic integrity question

Textero is built for students who need help getting from a blank page to a structured draft with sources and citations.

Textero's own Academic Integrity Statement is explicit: never submit AI-generated content as your own original work, treat the output as a starting point, substantially revise it, and cite your use of AI tools according to your institution's rules. Misuse can count as plagiarism. Homepage copy mentions "undetectable" writing, but the policy puts the responsibility on you. Check your school's AI policy before using it for graded work.

Pricing at a glance

All premium plans include unlimited AI credits, AI commands and PDF uploads. One page of essay generation uses one credit; tools like the AI Detector and Essay Grader also draw credits. Prices exclude applicable taxes, and you can cancel any time in account settings.

Refunds and cancellation

• Monthly: full refund if you cancel within 7 calendar days of the start, but not if you generated 3 or more documents.
• Quarterly: full refund within 14 days, unless you generated 3 or more documents in that window.
• Yearly: full refund within 14 days, unless you generated 5 or more documents in that window.
• After the window, there is no refund for the current or past billing period; cancelling only stops future renewals.
• Refunds go only to the original payment method, and the request must come from the email on the account.
• A subscription freeze does not extend the refund window.

Textero affiliate program

Textero runs a public affiliate program that anyone can apply to with an email, name and preferred payout method. The affiliate terms state:

• 30% commission on successful payments made by referred customers;
• $50 minimum withdrawal, with smaller balances carried over to the next monthly payout;
• no self-referrals (permanent ban and forfeited commissions);
• no bidding on "Textero" brand keywords or misspellings, no fake discounts on coupon sites, no ads on adult websites.

The terms do not state a cookie window or whether commissions recur. Referred customers get no advertised discount.
