Chatbase referral link and review
Chatbase is a platform for building AI agents that answer customer questions on your website, messaging apps, email and phone, trained on your own content. Paid plans start at $32 per month billed yearly and each self-serve plan comes with a 7-day trial. Chatbase does not advertise a discount for customers who arrive through a referral link, so this page focuses on plans, limits and the rules to know before paying.
No extra sign-up bonus via this link — the provider's standard terms apply.
Referral link disclosure: the button above is our referral link. If you sign up through it, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The bonus and terms are set by Chatbase and can change — check them on the official site before you sign up.

What is Chatbase?
Chatbase, operated by Chatbase Inc. (a Delaware company per its terms), builds AI agents for customer experience. You train an agent on your own content and deploy it where customers reach you. The product lineup includes:
- Customer support agent – answers support queries across live chat, email, phone, Slack and other channels.
- Sales agent – answers product questions and guides prospects toward a purchase.
- Procedures and AI Actions – step-by-step workflows written in plain language, with actions such as fetching invoices, booking slots or retrieving products.
- Widgets – interactive components in replies, such as a package tracker.
- Helpdesk – a ticketing inbox shared by AI agents and human staff.
- Backstage – an internal agent that summarizes customer issues and reports on topics, sentiment and trends.
- Playground – compare models and settings before going live.
Chatbase lets you choose between large language models from several providers. On security, it states GDPR compliance, an independently audited SOC 2 Type II report, encryption at rest and in transit, and that customer data is not used to train models.
Who it's for
Chatbase suits small and mid-sized teams that want an AI chatbot on their site without building one, and support teams that want the bot to hand over to humans in a shared inbox. The Hobby plan fits a single website assistant; Basic adds voice, telephony, API access and helpdesk integrations such as Zendesk and Salesforce; Business adds advanced analytics. Companies that need SSO, audit logs, white-labeling, HIPAA eligibility or SLAs are pointed to the Enterprise plan.

Refunds, cancellation and limits
- Fees are non-refundable. The terms of service say fees are not refunded, except prepaid fees when Chatbase itself terminates over its own uncured breach. Billing errors must be reported within 60 days.
- Use the trial. Hobby, Basic and Business each list a 7-day trial; test your real content during it rather than relying on refunds.
- Cancellation: turn off renewal in account settings or email billing@chatbase.co. A cancelled account drops to a free tier with reduced features.
- Usage rules: reselling the service, reverse engineering it or using it to build a competing product is prohibited. The terms list no country restrictions; disputes go to courts in Delaware, USA.

Chatbase runs a public affiliate program on Dub Partners. Approved partners earn up to 30% per sale for one year on plans bought by customers they refer.
