Best cashback sites that actually pay: TopCashback, LetyShops, Megabonus and Backit
Cashback sites pay you part of the commission a store gives them for sending you there. They all work the same way, so the best one is the one that covers your country and your stores, pays out by a method you can use, and doesn't keep your money pending for months. In short: TopCashback for US shoppers; Megabonus, LetyShops or Backit for AliExpress and online stores in Russia and the CIS. This guide compares their regions, minimum withdrawals, payout methods, fees and wait times, and explains why cashback sometimes fails to track.
Earnings vary; there is no guaranteed income.

The short answer: which cashback site should you use?
The right cashback site depends mostly on where you live and where you shop, because each service works with a different set of stores and pays out in different ways:
- In the US: TopCashback. It is free, pays in US dollars by ACH bank transfer, PayPal, Venmo or gift cards, and its terms say it passes the retailer's commission on to members in full.
- In Russia, Kazakhstan and other CIS countries, shopping on AliExpress and marketplaces: Megabonus, LetyShops or Backit. All three are free and Russian-language first. Backit has the lowest minimums and the shortest stated wait; Megabonus has a $1.5 minimum and a loyalty boost; LetyShops shows 3,000+ stores picked by your country.
- Letyshops vs Megabonus: pick Megabonus if you want a published minimum withdrawal and a boost that grows as you buy more; pick LetyShops if your stores are in its catalog for your country and you prefer commission-free withdrawals to card, e-wallet or phone.
How cashback sites work (and why they actually pay)
A cashback site is an affiliate partner of the stores it lists. When you click from the cashback site to a store and buy, the store pays the site a commission for sending you. The cashback site then shares part of that commission with you, or all of it: LetyShops describes it as returning part of the fee the store pays, and TopCashback says it passes the commission on in full and earns from advertising and sponsored placements instead.
That is why reputable cashback sites do pay, and why you wait: the store pays only for orders that are not returned or cancelled, so your cashback goes through stages:
- Pending – the purchase was tracked; the store has not confirmed it yet.
- Confirmed / payable – the store approved the order after its return period, and you can withdraw.
- Declined – the order was returned, cancelled or did not meet the store's terms.
Rates are a percentage of the order, vary by store and change over time.
Why cashback sometimes doesn't track
Cashback depends on the store recognising that you came from the cashback site, usually through a tracking link and browser cookie set when you click through. Anything that breaks that chain can cost you the cashback. Backit's user agreement lists typical reasons cashback may not be credited:
- cookies blocked in the browser settings;
- an ad blocker or antivirus that blocks pop-up windows;
- other browser extensions that conflict with the cashback extension;
- buying before you are logged in to the cashback site, or not going to the store through the cashback site at all;
- not following the store's own terms, or the store rejecting the order.
So: log in first, click through to the store (or activate the extension), and buy in the same browser session; TopCashback's terms also require being logged in when you click through. Pause your ad blocker on the store at checkout and keep order emails for a missing-cashback claim.
What we compared
The differences that matter are in the terms:
- Region and stores. The biggest factor: the service must cover your shops and your country.
- Fees. All four are free to join; any fees sit on withdrawals or conversion.
- Minimum withdrawal. A low one means small balances don't get stuck.
- Payout methods. Bank transfer, card, PayPal, e-wallet, phone top-up or gift cards
- Pending time. How long cashback sits unconfirmed.
- Account rules. Inactivity limits and expiring balances.
TopCashback: best for US shoppers
TopCashback USA is run by TopCashback (USA) Inc., part of the TopCashback Group, which also runs separate sites for the UK and other countries. It lists more than 7,000 retailers and has browser extensions and mobile apps.
- Region: the terms say the site is aimed at American consumers and pays rewards in USD only. Members outside North America may join, but free cash back offers are limited to members in the US and Canada, some merchants don't reward non-US orders, and access from certain sanctioned regions is blocked.
- Fees: joining is free; the company says it covers its costs with advertising and sponsored content rather than a cut of your cash back.
- Payouts: ACH bank transfer (US bank accounts only), PayPal (the only option for non-US members), Venmo and gift cards such as Amazon. The terms state no minimum payout amount – you request payment once you have payable funds.
- Pending time: confirmation can take 30 days or more from purchase, and cash back on travel becomes available only after the trip or stay is completed.
Downside: if you live outside the US and Canada, the USD-only rewards, PayPal-only payouts and the merchant limits make it a weak fit. Details in our TopCashback review.
LetyShops: best for a big store list chosen by country
LetyShops is operated by LetyShops KFT, registered in Hungary. Its how-it-works page counts more than 3,040 stores with cashback, and the country you choose decides which stores and offers you see. The site and help center are mainly in Russian, and its audience is largely Russian-speaking and CIS shoppers.
- Fees: free; LetyShops says it returns part of the commission stores pay it.
- Payouts: to a bank card, an e-wallet or a mobile phone top-up, and LetyShops says withdrawals are made without commission. The public pages do not state a minimum withdrawal, so check it in your account.
- Pending time: LetyShops says confirmation usually takes 15 to 150 days, depending on the store. Only confirmed cashback can be withdrawn.
Downside: the long upper end of the confirmation window and the unpublished minimum withdrawal. More in our LetyShops review.
Megabonus: best for a low minimum withdrawal
Megabonus says it works with more than 6,000 stores worldwide, and that what matters is only whether a store delivers to your country. Its operator is WEBIMATIC LIMITED of Nicosia, Cyprus. The service runs in Russian and defaults to regional versions such as Kazakhstan; it is aimed at Russia and the CIS.
- Fees: free to join. The user agreement keeps cashback in USD and charges a 4% fee on conversion to other currencies and on ruble bank transfers.
- Payouts: the minimum withdrawal is $1.5, available as soon as the store confirms the purchase. Methods: card, phone or e-wallet; the homepage shows WebMoney, Visa, Mastercard and PayPal.
- Pending time: set per store and shown on each store's card.
- Loyalty levels: confirmed cashback moves you up seven levels, from no boost to +50% on top of the store's base rate.
Downside: the 4% conversion fee and a Russian-only interface. See our Megabonus review.
Backit: best for AliExpress and a fast payout
Backit, formerly ePN Cashback, has partnered with online stores since 2013. Its English page says 900+ partner stores while the Russian homepage says 400+; much of the catalog is Russian retailers, plus AliExpress (headline cashback up to 10%), travel and other categories. The user agreement names Profit Entry Limited (British Virgin Islands) as administration and lists no country restrictions, but the service is focused on Russian shoppers.
- Fees: the agreement says the services are provided free of charge.
- Payouts: e-wallets and mobile phone balance from $0.2, bank cards from $9. Balances are kept in rubles or US dollars.
- Pending time: the site says cashback arrives about 14–15 days after you receive the order, once the store confirms it.
- Account rules: bonuses expire 365 days after they are credited, and accounts inactive for 365 days can be deleted after 30 days' notice with remaining cashback written off.
Downside: the catalog mostly suits Russian shoppers, so check your stores before signing up from elsewhere. Read the Backit review.
LetyShops vs Megabonus vs Backit
The three CIS-focused services overlap heavily, especially on AliExpress, so the choice comes down to payout terms and the wait:
| LetyShops | Megabonus | Backit | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stores (vendor's count) | 3,040+ | 6,000+ | 400+ (RU page) / 900+ (EN page) |
| Minimum withdrawal | Not published | $1.5 | $0.2 e-wallet/phone, $9 card |
| Withdrawal fee | None, per LetyShops | 4% on conversion and ruble transfers | Not stated |
| Stated wait | 15–150 days by store | Per store card | ~14–15 days after delivery |
| Extra | Country-specific catalog | Loyalty boost up to +50% | Price history, sale alerts |
All three are free, so you can join two and click through from whichever shows the better rate for that store. Activate only one service per order.
Other cashback sites
Well-known names such as Rakuten or the Honey extension are not covered here because we don't review them yet. Note that Backit lists extensions that conflict with its own as a reason cashback may not be credited, so avoid running several shopping extensions at once. Frequently asked questions
What are the best cashback sites?
It depends on your country. In the US, TopCashback is free and pays in USD via ACH, PayPal, Venmo or gift cards. In Russia and the CIS, Megabonus, LetyShops and Backit cover AliExpress and thousands of local and international stores.
Do cashback sites actually pay?
Yes, when the purchase tracks and the store confirms it. The cashback is part of the commission the store pays the site, so returned or cancelled orders earn nothing, and confirmation can take from about two weeks to several months depending on the store.
LetyShops or Megabonus: which is better?
Megabonus publishes a $1.5 minimum withdrawal and adds a loyalty boost of up to +50% as your confirmed cashback grows, but charges 4% on currency conversion. LetyShops says withdrawals are commission-free and shows a store list for your chosen country, but its confirmation can take up to 150 days. Compare the rate for your store on both.
Why didn't my cashback track?
Common causes are blocked cookies, an ad blocker, a conflicting browser extension, not being logged in, or not clicking through from the cashback site before buying. Conflicting shopping extensions can also break it.
Are cashback sites free?
All four services in this guide are free to join. Megabonus charges 4% on currency conversion and ruble transfers; LetyShops says withdrawals are commission-free.
How long does cashback stay pending?
TopCashback says confirmation can take 30 days or more; LetyShops says 15 to 150 days; Backit says about 14 to 15 days after you receive the order; Megabonus shows the period on each store's card.
