What is TopCashback?

TopCashback is a cash back site run in the US by TopCashback (USA) Inc., part of TopCashback Group Limited, which also runs versions for the UK and other countries. Retailers pay TopCashback a commission when a member buys through its tracked links, and the company says it passes that commission on to members in full; it earns from sponsored placements and promotions.

TopCashback states it has more than 25 million members globally and over 7,000 retailers. Membership is free. It works via the website, browser extensions (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) and iOS/Android apps.

How cash back is tracked and paid

For a purchase to track, you must be logged in and click through to the merchant from TopCashback. Tracked cash back shows as pending (TopCashback says it usually appears on the Earnings page within 7 days) and becomes confirmed once the retailer approves the transaction, which the terms say can take 30 days or more. It is only payable after the retailer's return period ends, or after the trip is completed for travel bookings. Returned or reversed orders earn nothing.

The homepage advertises no minimum cash-out. If cash back goes missing, you can raise a claim from your account; the terms say TopCashback may close an enquiry if the merchant has not paid after six months.

Who it's for

TopCashback USA is built for American shoppers: rewards are paid in US dollars only, and free cash back offers are limited to members in the US and Canada. Some merchants won't ship abroad or reward non-US transactions, and access from certain blocked countries can put an account on hold. It suits people who already shop online at large US retailers and are happy to start each purchase from TopCashback or its extension. Outside the US, check for TopCashback's site in your country.

Refer-a-friend program terms

TopCashback runs a public refer-a-friend program that any TopCashback USA member in good standing can join from their account. Under the terms dated 08/15/2026:

• For friends who sign up through a referral link between October 18 and October 31, 2026 (11:59 p.m. PDT), the referrer receives $50 cash back per qualifying referral. Amounts and qualifying periods change between promotions.
• A referral qualifies when the friend joins via the link, verifies the account, and earns at least $10 in eligible cash back within 180 days of joining.
• Sign-up bonuses, contest winnings, goodwill payments and cash back from excluded retailers (including many gift card offers and most VPN brands) don't count toward the $10.
• Self-referrals, multiple accounts and paid-search use of referral links are prohibited.

The terms do not describe a separate reward for the person who joins through a referral link, so signing up via our link doesn't add an extra bonus for you. You can check current referral amounts under Refer a Friend in your account.

Limits and requirements

• You must be over 18 to join.
• Log in at least once every six months; dormant accounts may be terminated.
• Non-US members bear PayPal currency conversion costs.
• Referral links usually can't be combined with other new-member incentives.
