What is Megabonus?

Megabonus is a cashback service: you open a partner store through Megabonus, buy as usual, and part of the money spent comes back to your Megabonus balance once the store confirms the order. The site says it works with more than 6,000 stores worldwide, as long as they deliver to your country.

Cashback can be activated on the website, in the Android and iOS apps, or through a Chrome extension. The service is run in Russian and aimed at Russia and CIS countries; the site defaults to regional versions such as Kazakhstan. The operator named in the user agreement is WEBIMATIC LIMITED, registered in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Who it's for

Megabonus suits shoppers in Russia and the CIS who regularly buy from AliExpress and other marketplaces, travel sites and online services, and who are comfortable with a Russian-language interface and support. Frequent buyers benefit most, because confirmed cashback also moves you up the loyalty levels.

Loyalty levels and the invite bonus

Every account has a loyalty level that adds a percentage on top of the store's base cashback. You level up automatically once enough of your cashback reaches the Confirmed status, and withdrawing money does not reset progress.

Joining through an invite link skips you straight to Merchant (+14%) for 7 days. After that week the boost is removed and you drop back two levels, unless you have earned Merchant on your own. Boosted-cashback promotions apply only if you buy within three hours of activating them.

Megabonus referral program terms

The "Invite a friend" program is open to every user. You share your personal link, and for 6 months from each purchase a friend makes you earn up to 50% of their cashback amount. Megabonus says this does not reduce the friend's own cashback. Friends' purchases also count toward your loyalty level.

Rules from the program terms:

• only people who have never registered with Megabonus can be invited;
• once more than 100 users have joined through your link, each new invitee brings income without the 6-month limit;
• referral income becomes available when it moves from Pending to Confirmed, and is cancelled if the order is not completed;
• mobile purchases by users registered before 18.10.2018 are excluded. The page does not explain how the exact share is calculated.

Withdrawals, fees and account rules

• Minimum withdrawal: $1.5, available once the store confirms the purchase. Confirmation time differs by store and is listed on each store's card.
• Methods: the homepage lists WebMoney, Visa, Mastercard and PayPal; for Russian citizens the agreement names YooMoney, bank card and mobile top-up.
• Fees: cashback is held in USD; amounts in other currencies are converted with a 4% fee, and bank or third-party transfers are paid in rubles with a 4% fee. Other method fees are not published in the agreement.
• Inactivity: accounts with no purchases for 3 years may be blocked or deleted and the balance annulled.
• Fraud: suspected abuse (fake receipts, abnormally frequent large orders) can lead to blocking and loss of accumulated cashback.
