Which AI presentation maker should you pick?

All four tools turn a short brief into a finished, designed set of slides. Where they differ is what happens after the first draft: whether you present it live, send it as a link, or reuse it in marketing.

  • Decktopus if you want a polished deck fast and pay as little as possible: Pro is $9.99 a month billed yearly for 750 AI credits, about 150 generated slides, and credit packs work without a subscription.
  • Pitch if a team works on decks together and presents them live: there is a free plan for up to 5 members, and paid plans add custom fonts, unbranded exports and shared brand assets from €10 per seat a month billed yearly.
  • Storydoc if your deck is a sales proposal or investor update that you send rather than present: it produces an interactive web document with forms, calendar booking and open, click and scroll analytics. The 14-day trial needs no payment details.
  • Simplified if slides are only one piece of your marketing work: its AI presentation maker is free and credit-based, and the same platform handles social posts, ads, emails and short videos on paid plans from $19 a month billed yearly ($29 billed monthly).

How to choose an AI presentation maker: what we compared

Facts come from each provider's pricing, help and terms pages, read in October 2026. More tools in this niche are among the best AI tools.

  • Price model. Decktopus charges credits per slide, Pitch charges per seat, Storydoc limits how many documents can be live at once, and Simplified counts generative AI credits. The table quotes the cheapest paid plan with its billing period, because yearly billing changes the price a lot (Decktopus Pro is $24.99 monthly against $9.99 a month billed yearly).
  • Free plan or trial. Whether you can finish a real deck before paying. Refunds are restricted at Decktopus and Pitch.
  • Output. A classic slide file (PowerPoint, PDF) for presenting and emailing, or a live web link that updates itself and tracks who viewed it.
  • Limits that bite. Slides per month, active documents, seats, branded exports and image upload size.
  • Teams and brand. Shared workspaces, brand kits, roles and version history if more than one person touches the decks.
  • Refunds and cancellation. How much you risk if the tool doesn't suit you.

Decktopus: the fastest route from a topic to a designed deck

Decktopus is an AI presentation maker from Decktopus Inc. You describe a topic, upload a document or paste rough notes, and it generates a structured deck with the design already done. It can pull your brand colors, fonts and logo from a website URL, redesign an existing presentation with Beautify, and let you edit slides by prompt. Decks export to PDF, PPT and PNG, and you can also share a live link with viewer analytics and an optional email gate for collecting leads.

On the Decktopus pricing page, Pro costs $9.99 a month billed yearly ($119.88), $19.99 a month on a 3-month plan or $24.99 month to month, with 750 AI credits a month. One generated slide costs 5 credits, and so does each AI edit of a slide, so 750 credits is about 150 slides. Business adds a team workspace, Brand Kit, slide analytics and a custom domain with 1,000 credits per seat; its price is on request. Credit packs can be bought without a subscription, from $4.99 for 40 credits (about 8 slides) up to $999 for 36,000, and they never expire. Students get 50% off with the code SUPPORTEDUCATION.

Decktopus Pro plan: annual $9.99 per month billed $119.88 per year, 3-month $19.99, monthly $24.99, with 750 AI credits per month

Pick Decktopus if you make decks now and then, want them designed for you and prefer paying per slide over a seat. The downside: there is no free plan, only free credits for a 3-slide presentation, and the Terms of Service say subscriptions are not refundable. Every AI change to a slide also uses credits. Pitch: best for teams that present together

Pitch, from Pitch Software GmbH in Berlin, is a collaborative presentation workspace. Pitch Agent generates on-brand slides from a prompt, and the editor supports real-time collaboration, custom fonts, video and animations. There are 150+ templates, and you can import an existing PPTX file. Pitch rooms bundle a deck with other material into a client space, and viewer analytics show who opened your decks.

The Pitch pricing page lists prices per seat per month billed yearly (17% cheaper than monthly). Free costs €0 for up to 5 members with 100 one-time AI credits and 2 guests; exports and embeds carry Pitch branding, custom fonts are not included and images are capped at 5 MB. Plus is €10 for one member with 500 AI credits a month, custom fonts and video uploads. Team is €15 for up to 25 members with 3 teamspaces and 30 days of version history, and Business is €20 for up to 200 members with 750 monthly credits, unlimited guests and unlimited version history. Extra AI credits cost $0.004 each.

Pitch plans paying yearly, shown in USD: Free $0, Plus $10, Team $15 and Business $20 per month, with AI credits, features and a seat slider

Pick Pitch if several people build decks on one brand and present them live, or if you want a free plan you can keep. The downside: the free plan's AI credits do not renew, paid plans are sold only to businesses and entrepreneurs, and Pitch's terms make fees non-refundable. Before paying for Plus mainly to export to PowerPoint, check that it is included: the pricing card and the comparison table disagree on this. See our Pitch review.

Storydoc: interactive decks you send and track

Storydoc, from Storydoc Technologies Ltd., replaces static slides and PDFs with a scrollable, interactive document shared by link. AI builds a first draft from your input; you can embed Calendly booking, YouTube videos, buttons and forms, and analytics track every open, click and scroll. Pro adds personalization with variables filled from CRM data, collaboration and CRM integrations such as HubSpot and Salesforce. You can still export a static PDF when someone needs a file.

The Storydoc pricing page lists Starter at $19.80 a month billed annually ($237.60 a year) with 5 active documents, 25 AI text and 20 AI image credits a month, 20 slides per template and 3 live deck templates. Pro is $36 a month billed annually ($432) with 30 active documents, unlimited slides and templates and more AI credits. Teams, for 5+ users, is priced through sales. Annual billing saves up to 40% against monthly. Every new account gets a 14-day trial, and because Storydoc does not collect payment details for it, nothing is charged when it ends.

Pick Storydoc if you send proposals, sales decks or investor updates and want to know who read them and where they stopped. The downside: it is the most expensive starting point here, Starter allows only 5 live documents at a time, and it is built for reading on screen, not for presenting from a classic slide file. Refunds cover only your first paid purchase canceled within 14 days. Details in our Storydoc review.

Simplified: free AI decks inside a marketing toolkit

Simplified is an AI marketing platform, and its AI presentation maker is one part of it. You write a one-line brief, and its AI agent picks a template, applies your Brand Kit and returns a 16:9 deck with six slides by default and up to 30 on request; you then refine individual slides by chatting. Exports are PDF, HTML, PNG and ZIP.

The presentation maker is described as free forever and credit-based, with no monthly deck cap; the page does not say how many credits the free plan includes. The wider platform is priced on the Simplified pricing page: on the business tab, Pro is $19 and Business $49 a month billed annually ($29 and $79 billed monthly), with 10K and 30K generative AI credits a month and tools for social scheduling, ads, emails, articles and video clips; agency plans start with Growth at $149 a month billed annually. The $29 starting price on the presentation page is Pro on monthly billing.

Pick Simplified if you need presentations alongside social posts, carousels and ads in one brand, or want to try AI decks without paying. The downside: it is a marketing platform first, so there are no live-presenting or viewer-analytics features like Pitch or Storydoc, PowerPoint export is not listed, and a block lower on the pricing page still quotes a $79 Starter plan, so check the plan at checkout. Other AI presentation makers worth knowing

Gamma and Beautiful.ai are well-known AI presentation makers, Canva has AI design features inside its broader editor, and Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Slides now include AI assistants. If your company already pays for Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, try their assistant first. The tools above earn their price when you need something specific: per-slide credits without a seat licence (Decktopus), a shared team workspace (Pitch), tracked sales documents (Storydoc) or decks inside a marketing toolkit (Simplified).

Before you pay: refunds and output checks

  • Try the free route first. Pitch Free, Simplified's free presentation maker, Storydoc's trial and Decktopus's starter credits all let you finish a deck before paying.
  • Refunds are strict. Decktopus and Pitch don't refund subscriptions, Storydoc refunds only a first purchase within 14 days, and Simplified's pricing page states no policy. Pay monthly for the first month if unsure.
  • Check every AI draft. Numbers, claims and names still need your review before the deck reaches a client or investor.
