LingQ referral link: 100 bonus LingQs for new learners

LingQ is a language-learning platform from LingQ Languages Ltd. (Canada) that teaches through reading and listening to real content: books, podcasts, news, videos. A free account lets you save only 20 LingQs (words and phrases you mark for review); signing up through a referral link adds 100 extra LingQs, so you can try the method properly before deciding on Premium.

How to get started

  1. Open lingq.com through the link on this page; it carries the referral parameter (?referral=rudakovaq), so there is no code to type.
  2. Create a free account on the web.
  3. Pick the language you want to learn and your current level.
  4. Check that the 100 bonus LingQs are added on top of the free plan's 20.
  5. Open a lesson, click unknown words to save them as LingQs, and review them as you read and listen.
  6. Upgrade to Premium later only if you want unlimited LingQs and imports.

What is LingQ?

LingQ is an input-based language-learning app: instead of drills, you read and listen to content you find interesting and build vocabulary along the way. It runs on the web, iOS and Android, and supports more than 50 languages.

Key features listed by LingQ:

  • Lesson library of real-world content in categories such as news, culture, entertainment, lifestyle, science, food and sports.
  • LingQs: click an unknown word or phrase, see a translation and save it; the app tracks and helps you review saved words over time.
  • Import your own content (articles, YouTube, Netflix, ebooks, podcasts) and turn it into lessons; AI tools generate transcripts, translations and audio for imported material.
  • Browser extension for Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge that turns web pages into lessons.
  • Progress statistics, streaks and language challenges.

Audio imports are limited to 60 minutes and 60 MB per file.

Who it's for

LingQ suits learners who want to learn from authentic material and are comfortable reading a lot: intermediate learners who have outgrown beginner apps, people preparing for reading-heavy exams, and anyone who wants to turn a favourite podcast or book into study material. Premium members can study several languages at once.

Complete beginners can use it too; the method is reading and listening rather than structured grammar lessons.

  • Payout: contact LingQ to cash out; payment goes to PayPal. No minimum payout or schedule is published.

Any LingQ user can join: the personal link is in account settings, or you can add ?referral=yourusername to any LingQ URL.

Refunds, cancellation and limits

Per LingQ's terms of service, new Premium sign-ups get a full refund within the first 30 days; after that, fees are non-refundable. You cancel from the Settings page (an email or phone request does not count), and Premium stays active until the end of the paid period.

If you subscribe through the App Store or Google Play, you must cancel there; Apple requires cancelling at least 24 hours before the period ends. Technical support is by email only and is provided to paying account holders. LingQ does not state any country restrictions or identity checks for sign-up; you just need a LingQ account.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a LingQ referral code or promo code?

LingQ uses referral links rather than typed codes. The referral is a URL parameter (?referral=username), which the link on this page already includes, and gives you 100 extra LingQs when you sign up.

What is a LingQ, and why do 100 extra matter?

A LingQ is a word or phrase you save for review while reading. A free account can save only 20, so 100 extra lets you work through several lessons before deciding whether to pay.

Is LingQ legit?

LingQ is operated by LingQ Languages Ltd., based in West Vancouver, Canada. It publishes terms of service with a 30-day full refund for new Premium sign-ups and offers email support to paying users. One caveat: after 30 days, payments are non-refundable, so cancel before renewal if you don't want to continue.

How much does LingQ Premium cost?

LingQ's own review page lists Premium at about $10 per month billed annually, and about $8.99 per month on a bi-annual plan. Prices are approximate USD and may vary by region.

How does the LingQ affiliate program work?

Any user can share their referral link. Referrers get 100 LingQs per sign-up and 20% of all payments the referred user makes for as long as they stay on LingQ, paid via PayPal on request.
