What is CoinTracking?

CoinTracking is a web-based service for recording crypto transactions, tracking a portfolio and generating tax reports. It was founded in 2012 and is operated by CoinTracking GmbH from Gräfelfing near Munich, Germany. Its main parts are:

• Crypto tax calculator with country-specific tax reports for 100+ countries.
• Portfolio tracker with 25+ reports, live prices and coin charts.
• Imports from 400+ exchanges, wallets and blockchains via API, CSV or wallet address, including DeFi and NFT activity.
• Newer tools such as AI Tax Saver, File Converter and Source of Funds reports (availability depends on plan and, for AI Tax Saver, on your country).
• Full-Service, where CoinTracking's team checks your data and prepares a ready-to-file report for you.

Who it's for

CoinTracking suits people who trade on several exchanges or hold coins in multiple wallets and need a consolidated record for taxes. The plan tiers are built around transaction counts, so a casual holder with a few hundred trades fits the entry plan, while active traders and bot users need the higher tiers. Companies get a separate corporate plan, and users who do not want to do the work themselves can book the Full-Service.

CoinTracking does not give tax or investment advice; its reports are a tool for you or your tax adviser.

Two-year and lifetime options are also offered. The corporate plan starts at $1,799 / €1,599 per year with 3 unlimited accounts.

Full-Service is priced separately: Basic from $1,099 (under 2,000 transactions, under 3 exchanges or wallets, no DeFi/NFT/bots/derivatives), Advanced from $2,799 (no limits), and Express at $439 per hour. Full-Service covers 30+ countries and the page states 7–14 days for a report.

Payment options are PayPal, recurring credit card, Klarna and crypto via NOWPayments and Crypto.com; Bitcoin payments get a 5% discount.

Referral discount and affiliate program

Visitors who arrive through a CoinTracking referral link get a 10% discount on all account upgrades, applied at checkout. Our link includes the code R185663, so there is nothing to type in.

Any registered CoinTracking user can join the affiliate program and get their own link. Affiliates earn 20% of the price of upgrades bought by the users they refer. CoinTracking's terms say commissions are paid in cryptocurrency or by SEPA bank transfer. The terms also forbid affiliates from using the CoinTracking name or trademark in dealings with third parties or running CoinTracking-branded websites and social media accounts.

Refunds, cancellation and limits

• 14-day money-back guarantee: request a refund through support within the first 14 days. Refunds go back to the original payment method.
• Cancellation must be made in writing. Data is deleted 30 days after the agreement ends, so export it first.
• Inactive accounts: CoinTracking may terminate after 12 months of inactivity or more than 30 days of payment default.
• Imports are not guaranteed: the terms say automated imports are not warranted for every exchange, and CoinTracking is not responsible for incomplete data supplied by exchanges.
• No tax advice: reports and AI outputs are informational and may contain errors.
• Servers are located in the EU.
