What is Apex Hosting?

Apex Hosting describes itself as an American-owned company founded in 2013; its Terms of Service name Apex Hosting LLC as the provider. The core product is Minecraft server hosting for Java and Bedrock, with one-click installs for modpacks and server software, but it now hosts many other games:

  • Minecraft (vanilla, plugins and modpacks)
  • Rust, ARK, Valheim, Terraria, Project Zomboid
  • Satisfactory, 7 Days to Die, Factorio, Arma 3
  • Sons of the Forest, V Rising, Enshrouded, Palworld, Hytale and others

See the games page for the current list.

Who it's for

Apex suits players who want a hosted server rather than one at home: friend groups with a private Minecraft world, communities running a public server with plugins, and modpack players who need more memory.

Apex suggests 2–3 GB RAM for small groups on vanilla or light plugins and 8 GB and above for large communities or heavy modpacks. RAM can be changed later from the billing panel. It is not a general-purpose VPS: you get a game control panel, not a root server.

Apex Hosting pricing at a glance

Plans are sold by RAM and include unlimited player slots. Prices Apex displayed at the time of checking (first month with the advertised 25% first-order discount, then the regular price):

Plan First month Recurring
Minecraft Java entry plan from $5.99 —
EX-Series 16 GB (Go EX) $53.99 $71.99/month

The pricing pages are not always consistent: the Hytale page showed the same 16 GB plan at $43.19 for the first month against the same $71.99 recurring price, so treat the checkout as the final word. Longer billing cycles (quarterly, semi-annual, annual) are offered and Apex says they reduce the effective monthly cost.

Included: DDoS protection on every plan (Apex states protection against attacks up to 300 Gbps), 24/7 support, and Tier 3 data centers. A separate MCShield add-on for extra DDoS filtering has been listed at $4.99/month.

Payment: Apex pages list PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Stripe.

Refunds, locations and limits

  • Refund window. Per the Terms of Service, plans can be refunded within 7 days of the server being created, which may differ from the payment date, via a formal refund ticket; cancelling is not a refund request.
  • Non-refundable extras. Used one-time services such as modpack setup or plugin installation.
  • Chargebacks lead to automatic account termination.
  • Locations. Apex says it has data centers in North America, South America, Europe, Asia and Australia; the current list is shown when you order.
  • Support. 24/7, with live help in English and Spanish.

Apex Hosting referral and affiliate program

Apex runs a public affiliate program that anyone can join for free; the affiliate link is available in the billing panel, with click and conversion tracking. According to the affiliate section of the Terms of Service:

  • commission is 15% recurring on sign-ups (one older Apex page mentions 10%, so check the current rate in your panel);
  • only new clients count: anyone who has ever had an Apex account is excluded, as are self-referrals, and commission may be paid only for referrals that stay active;
  • the minimum balance before payout is $25, paid on a regular cycle after a holding period (Apex's blog mentions PayPal);
  • a W-8 or W-9 tax form is required before any commission is paid.

For a visitor, a referral link does not change the price: you pay the same as on the site, and site-wide promo codes still apply.

Frequently asked questions

Is there an Apex Hosting referral code or bonus?

Our link does not add a separate sign-up bonus. Apex has advertised a public first-order discount (25% off, code APEX25 in its site banner); enter whatever code the site currently shows at checkout.

Is Apex Hosting legit?

Apex Hosting is run by Apex Hosting LLC, an American company founded in 2013. It publishes Terms of Service with a 7-day refund policy, a privacy policy and offers 24/7 support. One caveat: the refund window counts from server creation, not payment, and requires a formal ticket.

How much does an Apex Minecraft server cost?

The Minecraft Java entry plan was shown from $5.99 for the first month with the first-order discount. Larger plans cost more; the 16 GB EX-Series plan was $53.99 for the first month and $71.99 per month after that.

How much RAM do I need?

Apex suggests 2–3 GB for small groups on vanilla or light plugins and 8 GB or more for large communities and heavy modpacks. You can upgrade RAM later from the billing panel.

How does the Apex Hosting affiliate program work?

Sign up for free and take your link from the billing panel. The Terms list 15% recurring commission on new clients, a $25 payout minimum and a required W-8/W-9 tax form.
