AutoDS vs CJ Dropshipping: which should you use for your store?
AutoDS and CJdropshipping are often compared, but they solve different problems. CJdropshipping is a supplier: a free account that sources products, ships them from its warehouses and syncs tracking to your store. AutoDS is automation software from $26.90 a month that connects your store to many suppliers, CJ included, and keeps prices, stock and orders in sync. This guide compares prices, trials, limits and terms so you can pick one, or decide to use both.

The short answer
AutoDS and CJdropshipping are not two versions of the same thing, which is why "AutoDS vs CJ Dropshipping" is a slightly misleading question.
CJdropshipping is a supplier. It sources the product, holds stock in its warehouses, packs each order and ships it to your customer. Opening an account is free; you pay for products and shipping per order, and optional memberships start at $15.99 a month.
AutoDS is automation software. It imports products from many suppliers into your store, keeps prices and stock in sync, and places orders for you. It costs from $26.90 a month on Shopify, with a 3-day trial for $0.99 on autods.com, and the cheapest plan does not include price and stock monitoring.
Pick CJdropshipping if you want one free account that finds products, fulfills orders and can grow into custom packaging and overseas warehouses. Pick AutoDS if you sell products from several suppliers (AliExpress, Amazon, Walmart and others) or on several channels and want one dashboard to keep everything in sync. Use both if you want CJ as your supplier and AutoDS as the control panel: AutoDS lists CJdropshipping among its supported suppliers.
What we compared and why it matters
For a dropshipping store, the right tool is the one that keeps your listings accurate and your customers' parcels moving without daily manual work. We looked at:
- Role in your business. Does the service supply and ship the goods, or does it connect you to suppliers? This decides whether you need one account or two.
- Price model. A fixed monthly subscription costs you money before you sell anything; pay-per-order means costs grow only with sales.
- Trial and free plan. How much you can test before committing.
- Key limits. Product caps, store caps, daily sourcing requests and which features sit on the cheapest tier.
- Selling channels. Shopify, eBay, Amazon, TikTok Shop and the rest: where you can list and sync.
- Shipping and warehouses. Where stock can sit and what delivery times the service itself states.
- Refunds and disputes. What happens if a subscription doesn't work out or a parcel goes wrong.
Prices below are in US dollars, taken from each company's own pricing pages and help articles on the date shown at the bottom of this guide.
AutoDS: automation for many suppliers and channels
AutoDS is an all-in-one dropshipping tool operated by AutoDS Ltd., a company incorporated in Israel. You connect your store, import products, and AutoDS takes over the routine work: product research tools, one-click and bulk importing, AI rewriting of titles and descriptions, price and stock monitoring, and order automation with tracking updates. It also offers print on demand, an AI store builder and its own private suppliers.
Its biggest advantage is breadth. The AutoDS suppliers page names around thirty sources, including AliExpress, Amazon, Walmart, Banggood, Alibaba, Home Depot, Costway, VidaXL and CJdropshipping, and it sells on eight channels: Shopify, eBay, Amazon, Facebook, Etsy, WooCommerce, Wix and TikTok Shop. If your catalog mixes several suppliers, AutoDS gives you one place to watch them all.
Pricing depends on the selling channel. On Shopify, monthly billing:
| Plan | Products | Stores | Monthly |
|---|---|---|---|
| Import | 200 | 1 | $26.90 |
| Starter | 500 | 1 | $39.90 |
| Advanced | 1,000 | 3 | $66.90 |

Annual billing is advertised as 25% off and is charged upfront for 12 months. eBay plans cost more (Starter $49.90, Advanced $86.90 a month) and Amazon plans roughly twice the Shopify price (Import $64.90, Advanced $149.90). Add-ons are billed separately: the auto ordering system is $9.90 a month, VA access and the Product Finding Hub $14.97 each, and Mentor $39.97.
The real downside: the entry-level Import plan has no price or stock monitoring, which is the feature most dropshippers buy AutoDS for. Budget for Starter if you want listings to update themselves. See the full AutoDS review for every plan and channel.
CJdropshipping: a free supplier with warehouses
CJdropshipping is a sourcing and fulfillment company; its own blog gives 2014 as the founding year. Orders from your store sync to CJ, CJ buys or picks the product, packs it, ships it and pushes tracking back to your store. Around that core it offers sourcing requests (you ask for a product, CJ finds a factory), print on demand, custom packaging, private-label and ODM products, and 3PL storage in warehouses outside China.
Integrations listed on its homepage include Shopify, WooCommerce, TikTok Shop, Temu, Amazon, eBay, Etsy, AliExpress, Shopee, Lazada, Shoplazza, Nuvemshop and Mercado, plus a Chrome extension and an API. CJ's blog says inventory syncs in near real time, tracking numbers sync back to the store, and in-stock orders typically process within 24 to 48 hours.
The account is free. Membership plans are optional and add sourcing capacity and coupons:
| Plan | Price | Main extras |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 5 daily sourcing requests, unlimited listings and store authorizations, quality inspection |
| Plus | $15.99/month | 10 extra daily sourcing requests, 5 VIP products, two $3-off-$10 coupons |
| Prime | $19.99/month | 20 extra daily sourcing requests, 10 VIP products, five coupons |
| Advanced | $59.99/month | 50 extra daily sourcing requests, 20 VIP products, ten coupons |

The downsides: CJ is one supplier, so you only get its catalog and its prices; on the Free plan support is AI-only (paid plans add human agents); memberships are not refunded once bought; and the dispute rules are strict. Read the CJdropshipping review for the full refund policy.
Pricing: what you actually pay
The two price models are very different, so compare them at your own volume.
With CJdropshipping alone your fixed cost can be $0. You pay CJ the product price plus shipping on each order and charge your customer more. Memberships only make sense once you send many sourcing requests a day or want the coupons; the $3-off-$10 coupons on Plus are worth at most $6 a month against a $15.99 fee, so buy a plan for the sourcing capacity, not the discounts.
With AutoDS you pay a subscription before your first sale: $26.90 a month on Shopify for Import, $39.90 for Starter with monitoring. On top come product costs at whatever supplier you use, your store platform fee, and any add-ons. The 3-day trial costs $0.99 on autods.com (AutoDS's Shopify App Store listing calls it a 3-day free trial) and renews at full price unless you cancel; upgrading during the trial ends it immediately.
Using both means the AutoDS subscription plus CJ's per-order costs. That makes sense when AutoDS saves you hours: many products, several suppliers or more than one store.
For a single store testing a handful of products, CJ on its own is the cheaper start. If you are still choosing a store platform, our shopping services category lists other tools for online sellers.
Shipping, warehouses and product sourcing
CJdropshipping controls shipping because it holds the goods. Its pages give different totals for the warehouse network, and its blog names warehouses in the US, Europe (UK, Germany and others) and Asia (China, Thailand, Indonesia). The same blog gives rough delivery estimates: about 7 to 15 days worldwide from China and about 3 to 7 days from local warehouses. You can move proven products into an overseas warehouse to shorten delivery, and CJ offers a shipping cost and delivery time calculator. Sourcing requests are where CJ is strongest: send a product link and it looks for a factory.
AutoDS does not ship anything itself unless you use its own fulfillment or private suppliers. Delivery time depends on the supplier you pick, which is why its suppliers page lets you filter by warehouse location (USA, UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Poland and others). It also offers a sourcing service through its own warehouse for products bought from China. AutoDS publishes no delivery-time figures of its own, so judge speed by the supplier.
Refunds, disputes and other terms
AutoDS refunds monthly plans only within 24 hours of payment and annual plans within 7 days; add-ons are non-refundable, and approved refunds can lose fees of up to 15% plus processor fees. It accepts cards, PayPal and Payoneer, but not prepaid and some virtual cards. You must be at least 18. Its trials are separate for each selling channel.
CJdropshipping does not refund a membership once bought. For orders, its refund, resend and returns policy requires every dispute to be opened on the CJ platform; disputes raised elsewhere can get your account blocked. A parcel marked delivered by tracking gets no refund or resend, even if your customer says it never arrived, and returns are accepted only to the China warehouse. Keep photos, videos and customer messages as evidence. Both sets of terms are strict: start AutoDS on monthly billing, and price CJ products with a margin that can absorb an occasional lost parcel.
Which one should you pick?
- Pick CJdropshipping if you are starting out, want zero monthly fees, and are happy to source most products from one supplier that can also brand, store and ship them.
- Pick AutoDS if you sell from several suppliers or on Amazon, eBay or TikTok Shop besides Shopify, and want prices, stock and orders kept in sync automatically. Choose Starter or higher if you need monitoring.
- Use AutoDS with CJ if CJ is your main supplier but you also want AutoDS's research tools, repricing and multi-store management. CJ is on AutoDS's supported-supplier list, so the two can work together.
